Abreu comes back from 0-2 to work the count to 3-2 then gets the big sac fly after the big SB by Hamilton. Then a big walk by Mercedes followed by a HUGE HR by Eaton and a GIGANTIC DP in the bottom of the 8th !
Doesn’t get too much more exciting than that! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Big stolen base by our Billy!

Beautiful play by the Billy!!

After he’s already walked two and plunked one, and with a 3-0 count, you can’t help him out. Make him throw a strike. TAKE!

I just love the way TA really owns the Sox brand and is seemingly genuinely proud to be a White Sox player. Great face for the franchise!

I’m not sure why they even felt compelled to make this name change. It’s not like this a tribute to LaRussa like it was a tribute to the long time employee. It’s just putting his name out there for the sake of putting his name out there.
A worthwhile tribute is like naming the broadcast booth after Hawk or the organist booth after Nancy Faust. The difference is those two served the Sox organization very well for a long time. The same cannot be said about LaRussa in a Sox uniform.
So why reverse the lovely gesture acknowledging the long term employee when you could slap LaRussa’s name on any number of other generic things in the park if you felt the need to add his name somewhere? Put his name on something that doesn’t already have a name on it.
I hope they quietly find a way to put Loretta’s name back up on the lounge while rethinking the need to add LaRussa’s name anywhere.

Sweet another week or so and we’ll be 1st in the AL. Even with a few top guys out, no other team in the AL has even close to the level of talent we have. It’s so obvious. Nothing to really worry about. Never was.
Now you have your big boy pants on! Well done!

Unless it's the top of the ninth or later, I don't want Hamilton in. I definately don't want Garcia and Hamilton in to bat late innings, which has happened quite a bit this season.
Oh, no doubt. I was reacting to tonight’s game when we had the three run lead in the 7th. Let Vaughn get another at bat and then leave Hamilton to defense-only duties.

Defensive replacements shouldn't be a thing in the 7th with a 3 run lead
Thank you, wise sir!

So glad Tony took out Vaughn to allow Hamilton another late inning key at bat.
Of course. You let Vaughn get this last at-bat and THEN you put in your defensive replacement.
Some kind of managing from this guy.

Jason seems like a nice person who has passion. Just feel his style is better suited for basketball, perhaps football or MMA, at least by my tastes.
Wasn't a fan of Hawk either, but for different reasons.
I’m fine with Jason when he’s actually focused on and broadcasting the game. He’s actually pretty good when he does that.
It’s when he injects his stand-up routine into the game that he becomes very tedious.

I'd assume Len and Steve Stone are solid.

I get the sense Kasper is getting a little annoyed with Benetti’s continuous attempts at being a funny guy.

Just lights out. With everything else going on with the injuries and LaRussa, Carlos has been one of the few yet very enjoyable experiences so far this year.

Benetti really needs to learn that stories of him growing up and getting wax dolphins from Brookfield Zoo aren’t needed in the later innings of a ballgame when the Sox have a potential rally going.

Pen, no need to keep pushing Rodon @ + 100 pitches. He needs to stay healthy all season.
Somehow I don’t think “Tonyball” will play out this way.

How many GMs around the league are kicking themselves right now for not offering Carlos Rodon more than $3M?!?
Good question. Weren’t the Cubs kicking the tires on him over the offseason?

2021 Rodon just being 2021 Rodon.
