  1. Kazmir will get grabbed by somebody I'd think before he gets officially released, he used to be good... Yankees will most likely grab him IMO
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) The Sox are just mentally weak. There is no other explanation. and Gavin Floyd is public enemy number f***ing 1 in the "Mentally Weak" category
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 09:33 PM) Wait, games in May are considered big games? is that really where you're going? come on dude, you're a better poster than that.... when you're not in first place, and you're playing against the team who is nearly double digits ahead of you in the loss column in May, and you show up the way Peavy did, kudos to him... i have yet to see Peavy 'choke' as a Sox starter. I know he's been hurt, but it isn't his fault and some of the vitriol spewed around in his direction on this forum just pisses me off dude wants to pitch, he wants to compete, he wants to help this team, and when he's had the opportunity he has helped us flame away, i just hope i'm not the only person on this forum that feels this way because it would be pretty f***ing sad if that's the case
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) Oh my god, this makes me want to throw a computer. I wonder how the Peavy Praisers would react knowing he has a Javy-esque reputation for pitching in big games. Uh what? Like that CG 1hitter this year against the team that was in first place? He was dominating the tigers before he got hurt in his last start too No f***ing way I compare him to Javy Vazquez
  5. be honest none of you thought we had a prayer in this series right? the fact that MIN has the f***ing rochester red wings taking the field makes no difference only way we had any shot in this series would have been if Peavy and Humber were the starters (imo, the two guys in our rotation who i trust to get a win, too bad Peavy is in Charlotte...)
  6. again, dont be fooled by how this team plays against the red sox, yankees, national league, doesnt matter. we are the b****es of the AL central
  7. as much as we like to make jabs at Rongey here, he also has came out and said that there are no plans to bring up Viciedo, this was as of yesterday, so docsox's statement seems to follow the current mindset about Pierre/Viciedo this organization has no f***ing clue, but we all know that already
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 01:30 AM) Basically I'm saying u guys are preaching to the choir (cliche). The White Sox aren't going to simply release a moderately productive player. greg, step back for a moment and ask yourself what about pierre's game THIS YEAR has been 'moderately productive' stop looking at his career as a whole, and look at 2011 by itself.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 01:27 AM) I just don't agree he will be pushed off the roster. That's not going to happen. His production is not horrific. He's staying on the team. No, his production has been horrific, he's worth negative wins right now, which means the same as costing you wins.
  10. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 10:49 PM) Juan Pierre's been bad for 7 years and now he's getting into his mid 30's and his legs are failing him, he can't bunt and his defense is going to s*** all that on top of his other obvious shortcomings and you have a guy who's reaching the end of his usefulness as a major league baseball player. He wasn't nearly this counterproductive last year (he wasn't what he was in the NL, but he was serviceable as a starter). It's rare that you go from Pierre's 2010 to 2011, and have it be due to being "done". And I don't think his legs are failing him. His jumps this year have been horrible, not his speed overall, again.. I think he's just having a s***ty year.
  11. We did keep Milledge I thought? He passed through waivers and was sent down correct?
  12. You all are saying these things about Pierre, "Not what he used to be", "Not very good at his job" What about Rios? In terms of WAR, they're both damn near identical. Is Rios washed up? Just putting it into perspective, just because a guy is having a horrible year doesn't mean he's done.
  13. I agree, keep CQ in RF... put Dayan in left, just wish we had more OBP in our lineup beyond our 3 slowest runners
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 03:57 PM) There's an offday tomorrow. Get him in today, let him get confidence from beating them, then let him save 3 straight in Minny. i disagree, pick your spots with this kid
  15. not a fan of closing with sergio against the a's in the same series that he had a 44 pitch blown save, bring him in against minnesota, not a team that saw all his pitches a couple nights ago and owned him
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) It was just hilarious hearing DJ just explode on that one. some of his homerun calls this year have been fantastic, his pbp/color otoh.....
  17. Alexei is a double play machine when he isnt getting hits...
  18. lol at bruney, go flip some burgers another guy from our system that is worthless AAA garbage
  19. chris is very hittable right now, needs to just throw sliders at this point
  20. just looked at Rios' BABIP, that's some unlucky s*** right there. i know he's horrible this year but the stats say he's not as bad as his numbers, unfortunately he's been pretty subpar in CF too which hurts him even more also (i love fangraphs), the 20 worst players in WAR in MLB, we have 3 of them in our starting lineup.
