Bulls getting all the calls in the 4th Q, this might go 6 games
-
Mark Schnowski: "Bulls win tonight by 15" LOL
-
Bulls will lose in the second round if this is indicative of how well they play against an 8 seed.

QUOTE (Knackattack @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) Danks first year as a starter came as a 22 year old straight out of AAA, Masterson was a 25 year old who had already started 25 big league games.. smh. So there's absolutely no reason to think a pitcher going from 2+ years in relief to a starter will have an adjustment period? Many would consider last year Masterson's first real season as a starter, oh and there have been successful 22 year old starters, who's to say Masterson wouldn't have been if Boston hadn't had a full rotation of legit starters forcing him into a role unbefitting to what his career would actually be Seriously, the 'age' thing?
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 07:15 PM) Lol. You didn't even know his numbers outside of 3 starts this year did you. Hilarious, maybe take a look around the league and make some more declarations. Sam Fuld is the next Rickey Henderson isn't he? Yeah, his first full year as a starter was the year he was traded midseason in 2009 What's hilarious is you avoiding the point I made which shatters your response into a million pieces Kaboom!
-
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 07:07 PM) Lol. Yes, his 4.70 era last season really had me drooling. Wasn't that his first full year as a starter though? Compare that to Danks first year. LOL . Drool over those numbers.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 06:48 PM) Who do the Twins have better than Danks? If you're saying Liriano, he's too much of a risk IMO. If liriano ends up being injury prone, then yeah. But until anyone can label him that with certainty Liriano > Danks and it's not even close
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 06:46 PM) Masterson's got to do in consistently for at least 4 months before you start comparing him to Danks or even Edwin Jackson. And let's see what Peavy can do before we've entirely given up on him, as well. Fair enough but I would bet on him having a better career than Danks. Danks is valued mostly because he's an above average lefty.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 06:44 PM) I like Masterson. But over Danks? Hell yes, I can't be the only person here who would. Danks is a 6 inning pitcher who consistently has control issues Masterson's a beast who's also a ground-ball machine, something our rotation desperately needs
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) It's Juan Pierre...Ozzie wouldn't have benched him for Barry Bonds in his prime. So you have no problem with benching Dunn but have no problem with Pierre playing because Ozzie 'won't bench him' People wonder why so many here hate this clown. He makes ridiculous decisions!
-
Every team in our division has a pitcher better than anybody we have, save the Royals (though will that be true next year?) I'd take Masterson over anybody in our rotation
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 06:39 PM) Do you really expect Dunn to be able to hit Price, Liriano, etc? No problem with Ozzie benching him. LOL? Yet Pierre can?
-
horrid stretch of games for the sox right now, TB started slow but are playing awesome now, imagine when they get their lineup healthy meanwhile our multimillion dollar DH is being benched, of course Ozzie will act like the excuse of 'Price is a lefty' is valid. Since when do you pay somebody that kind of money who is essentially worthless against LHP

How many of the losses have the Sox actually been "beaten"?

I love the general attitude of this thread. OP comes in all bright-eyed and cheery proclaiming this team is better than 7-8, meanwhile everyone else is like take that BS elsewhere, I love it lol Sox are 7-8 because they're playing like a 7-8 team, PERIOD. -

Can't believe Ozzie had AJ bunting there, I'd roll the dice on a lefty hitting against that dude instead of Alexei Swept! Sub-.500, called it -

I think Sox FO know that their only chance to make a profit/break even is to keep trying to field a competitive team. As long as KW is running this team, they won't rebuild. You really think they can properly evaluate young talent anyways? -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) This team is never going to please you, so you may as well turn your TV off. Regardless of whether they win or lose, you are going to be pissed off and someone is going to be doing something wrong, so not watching them will make you happier. Thanks Dr. Phil. Here's a dime. -

Don Cooper should thank his lucky stars nobody who's a sox fan (except me) or anybody in Chicago criticizes him because he's done a horrid job overall, dude gets WAY too much credit and not enough blame -

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) Team is a weird mix. Its baseball playing ability nowhere near its payroll number. This was true in 2005 too. -

You couldn't pay me to go to the Cell this year, this team lol -
we'll be 8-7 after the angels series (we're not beating Haren and Weaver, put that on the board), and could easily be swept if the Sox pull another gem like today in the Humber game dear god this team is a mess right now
