QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 06:17 PM) It amazes me how much we're paying him to be so terrible. But just remember, spending 30 million on Pujols (according to KW) is stupid when you can spend 30 million on Rios/Peavy. It just occurred to me that we really are paying those two f***s 30million. SMH gogo Kenny.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) That's what we used to say about Brian Anderson. Don't you put that evil on him.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) Remember back in '06 when the 8-9-1 trio of Uribe/Anderson/Pods was the 'take a dump inning' and not miss a thing? That's this entire lineup right now aside from PK and CQ. And they still had the ability to make it interesting. I think I would take Uribe/Anderson/Pods hitting right now over every 3rd of our lineup other than Alexei/Q/Konerko

It really baffles me that we can all see these issues that a hitter is having, that DJ points out the mechanical flaw in Gordon's swing over the radio blahblahblah and they still don't change anything. Pathetic.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) Konerko, Quentin, and Ramirez are the only Sox hitters that can handle a good fastball. Give Dunn a week and he'll be on that list.

QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 05:03 PM) You're really not alone on that thought. He really needs to be send down for a while. Either Beckham needs to get sent down or Walker needs to get fired for sexual harassment because he has raped Gordon's chances of getting a hit.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) Still, with our pitch-to-contact staff, having Teahen (aka Kevin Reimer/Josh Fields) in LF and Quentin in RF, he'd let just as many runs in as he'd create offensively. It's not like Juan has been a great outfielder this season TBH and if you remember some KC highlights of a couple years back, Teahen probably would have the strongest outfield arm on the team, not to mention with Rios in CF at our park you can deal with some subpar D at the corners, and in 2007, Teahen's only full season as a right fielder he posted a 9.4 UZR.. not exactly bad.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) Vizquel would wear down if you played him that extensively and Teahen's probably worse than Quentin in RF. No thanks. The only good thing about this is PERHAPS Teahen wouldn't be trying to steal and getting thrown out as often as Pierre. Maybe things are turning around with Dunn. Yankees' announcers have the idea he's struggling because he hasn't adjusted to DHing after playing in the NL for so long. Meant left field for Teahen and I'd let Omar prove that he would wear down because Juan is killing this team.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) haha sometimes it's good not to watch. And looking it up, Juan is 5 of 15 with 2 outs and RISP. Wouldn't believe it at all. Willing to bet 3 or 4 of those hits came in the first week TBH.

Although I do have to say I would absolutely adore Teahen starting in left and Omar starting at 3rd and leading off. 1-2 hitters right there.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) I don't understand why Teahen isn't playing 3rd or LF. Need to get his bat in the lineup right now. Pierre is just a pile of suck, yet he never gets a day off. He's our leadoff hitter and he steals bases and he is grindy and he is fast and he is grindy and grindy and he is fast..

White Sox (Buehrle) v. Yankees (Tub O' Goo)
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) Teahen should be in this game as he would be the most dangerous with Dunn here. God this offense sucks. Teahen is garbage too... it really speaks to how pathetic this offense has been that we're asking for Mark f***ing Teahen.

White Sox (Buehrle) v. Yankees (Tub O' Goo)
2,3,4,5 are the only dangerous parts of this line-up on any given day.
