QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 13, 2012 -> 05:37 PM) Apparently the problem in Miami previously wasn't the stadium. Their management/owners are a complete joke. This is a disgrace.

Miami's chances of signing any big free agent are gone for a long time.

So what type of 3rd baseman do we need?
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 12:38 AM) Hearing he was loved in the clubhouse is surprising. Im not surprised that was a total sham.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Nov 8, 2012 -> 11:10 PM) @JonHeymanCBS 3B is #chisox area of focus, and they're talking to youkilis. They loved him in clubhouse. Indians, phils in mix. Not surprising at all

Blogger Call: Open Discussion with Rick Hahn
QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 1, 2012 -> 06:18 PM) If he did learn anything from KW- its to fly under the radar and to put up smoke screens. I don't buy it! I dont buy the alleged smoke screen here.

Blogger Call: Open Discussion with Rick Hahn
QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Nov 1, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) One thing I love about this organization is the amount of respect they give the fans. The fact he took time to answer some fan questions is really cool. The fact that they lowered prices on tix/parking is super cool too. I truly love being a fan of this organization and would love to see them bring home (at least) one more for J.R.! On a side note- it seems like they are looking hard for a new 3b. This is awesome! My biggest fear was for them to take another chance with Morel or a cheap flash in the pan type option. I really hope they do look into young talent like Chase Headley. But if the return price is too high, I wouldn't mind them bringing back Youk at the right price. I just have a feeling that Hahn will pull off some blockbuster soon in regards to addressing the 3b spot. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of the following dealt at this point in a mega deal (Ramirez, Beckham, Viciedo, Floyd or Rios) In the ESPN article it sounds like Rick Hahn doesnt seem optimistic that they will find an upgrade at 3rd base. Given that the market is so poor.

So what type of 3rd baseman do we need?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 31, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) There have been reports that he did not particularly care for being in Chicago nor did the team particularly care for him being here. You say all the right things in the public eye but I too do not believe there is a lot of mutual interest in renewing their relationship. It doesn't mean both parties won't explore it. I'd put Youkilis coming back to the Sox at about 10%. I see....Ill hold judgement I hear something definitive on that.

So what type of 3rd baseman do we need?
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 31, 2012 -> 02:21 PM) I think Youk has zero interest in staying with the Chicago White Sox. I have seen nothing to suggest that

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 31, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) That ought to be great for his back! Yeah I think at this point we can chalk him up as a lost cause.

So what type of 3rd baseman do we need?
I think in the end after the front office explores other options we will resign Youk to a 1-2 year deal.

Peavy wins Gold Glove
The question I have is how the hell did Mike Trout not win over Jones?

White Sox Re-Sign Jake Peavy
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 06:08 PM) I don't mean to rain on this parade, but I'm going to right now: feel free to ignore me The Choke-ago White Sox left a bad taste in my mouth by choking in the last 3 weeks of the regular season. Bringing back the same guys who contributed to that choke does not fill me with a bunch of confidence. Now I realize the choke was not really the fault of the pitching staff but...I will save my happiness until I see some good moves being made with the offense, and by that I mean bringing in some new blood and not just resigning the same old guys who choked. flame shields activated Thank you for providing the same rhetoric you have been spewing on here for a while now.
