  1. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:40 PM) I'm all for benching him, but there's no replacement. He lucked out by having Robin trust him and show he could come back and hold them down a couple of innings tonight. He's even luckier that a guy like Axelrod is his only competition at the moment (this is due to Stewart and Santiago being in the bullpen, they were by far our best rotation depth last season). When the competition becomes Quintana, we've got something cooking. It's not for right now. Cooper is going to have to do a little coaching with these right handers and hopefully both can turn it around...but we may only need one to do so. Floyd certainly gets the nod if they keep having similar outings I think its only a matter of time now before Kenny goes and gets someone.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) You have to realize that Humber is extremely valuable to the White Sox if he can command his pitches at all. Humber has NOTHING has an outing like this where Axelrod will have everything working and have similar stat lines. Phil had a great year last year and had mystified many by not succeeding sooner. While we John is still hurt and there are no actual prospects in waiting to replace him I don't mind trying one more start to catch lightning in a bottle. It took some real mettle to settle down after that third inning. He hasnt been able to do that for some time now.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:26 PM) Eh, I'm not sure if we could expect more than this kind of outing from Axelrod. He probably gets another. Still on the chopping block if we ever see a healthy Danks He shouldnt get another. But I have a feeling he will. At this point I rather see Axelrod.
  4. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) Why does the hit total matter? I could also say he threw 80% scoreless innings. All that matters for these purposes is the run total and the inning total. He may walk away with a win, even You think he deserves another start?
  5. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:19 PM) After all that, not the worst of outings for Phil. Even Code Red had a good first inning Yeah he only gave up 4 runs and 9 hits
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:08 PM) Can Humber throw another good inning? Thank goodness we dont have to find out
  7. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 11:02 PM) CSN reported that Danks saw Dr Youkum today and there are no issues in shoulder. get a runner so you can ph for Humber. He said there was no structural damage. There is definitely something wrong with Danks though which is why he is still going to the doctor on Monday.
  8. 2 down...give that man another start
  9. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:52 PM) He has good days and bad days which if you have 4 good starters is fine. On his bad days he goes three or four innings tops. With floyd doing about he same they both have to go deeper whether they have their good stuff or not. His good days seem like they were a month ago
  10. Lets send Humber out there again
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:47 PM) Would be against the Brewers, so he'd face a righty dominant lineup Im joking ofcourse.
  12. Humber deserves another start after this outing
  13. and here comes ethier
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:35 PM) Dodgers are hacking away. Give me a bat. I think we all deserve a turn
  15. Another hit by the pitcher
  16. Did everyone see that the Red Sox asked for Gerardo Parra for Youkillis?
  17. Here we go again. Everyone refill their alcoholic beverages.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) 1/2, RBI Dont give up on him right Jake?
  19. Pathetic bunt attempt
  20. Great so Humber will continue pitching
  21. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 10:22 PM) Kenny should have brought up Doyle instead of giving him away. Humber can learn Japanese as well as Doyle. Holy crap can we stop it with Doyle. If he was so great he would have stuck with the Twins.
  22. Alexei looks to be in a bit of pain
