I thought the PH for Tim was dumb, let Haseley lay down a bunt and get the run home? Am I being naive?

Last year: FIRE TONY!
This year: FIRE HAHN!
Although I'm pretty sure most were calling for both of them to be 86ed last year.

That is a bunch of crap! Eloy has a lot of problems with pulled muscles but it's not because he is a big man. Not all big men have these issues.
Playing more games is a matter of training properly in the off season and stretching properly every game. This means proper stretching not only before the game, but throughout the entire game.
Eloy is is 6'4" 240 lbs and played in only 84 games in 2022.
Let's compare Eloy to the other "Big Men" in baseball from the 2022 season:
Matt Olson 6'5" - 225 lbs - 162 games 100%
Pete Alonso 6'3" - 245 lbs - 160 games 99%
Vladimir Guerrero 6'2" - 245 lbs - 160 games 99%
Freddie Freeman 6'2" - 220 lbs - 159 games 98%
Austin Riley 6'3" - 240 lbs - 158 games 98%
Jose Abreu 6'3" - 235 lbs - 157 games 97%
Aaron Judge 6'7" - 282 lbs - 157 games 97%
Nathaniel Lowe 6'4" - 220 lbs - 157 games 97%
Shohei Ohtani 6'4" - 210 lbs - 157 games 97%
Rhys Hoskins 6'4" - 245lbs - 156 games 96%
Eloy Jimenez 6'4" - 240 lbs - 84 games 52%Damn, you brought some serious facts.

Hopefully this is the wakeup call Team USA needed to take its s%*# seriously. The other countries are getting better.
I don't think the US cares tbh. Smoltz was pretty insufferable all night saying that the US was this and that, instead of just giving Japan their due. They were the best team in the tourney. They didn't lose one game. Their dream team can crush teams with no pitching acumen, but I think most people knew they had their hands full with Japan.

They also have the best player on the planet. Their pitching was easily the best in the tournament. I was surprised to see such great stuff from just about every Japanese pitcher.
Yep, in the end Japan brought their best, and the US tried to bully their way through the tournament.

Bummer. Not sure Japan was the best team in this tourney but they won tonight. Looking forward to '26.
Japan is an elite team. They are fundamentally sound and don't make mistakes.

Knowing that we won't be in on the Shohei sweepstakes makes me sad.
New owner could be just around the corner.

Japan's pitching is just better. One mistake, one HR for US.

Is the zone super wide tonight or is it just me?
Inconsistent for sure.

A fitting end, the two best baseball teams colliding. Should be an interesting match. Darvish has familiarity with all these players and vice versa. The US is sending a mid pitcher against the Japanese staff. Who will blink first?

Mexico showed fight. Not sure they can knock off Japan but they got some serious swag.

If you can afford it, Munster has the best school district. Close to the Borman/Ford.
Yeah, there is no way I could convince my wife to move to Indiana. 😅
Regardless, thank you for the input.

I need the Soxtalk's community's assistance. I just recently got a job offer in the city near the GRF. I currently live in the far north side of city. What are some decent suburbs to consider moving to in that area?
I appreciate any assistance provided!
Thanks.

And Japan is the only team winning as a favorite thus far. Kinda crazy.

Let's pray the suck gets out of their system before they return to Chicago.

So I was tasked with finding items to fasten bookshelves, drawers, and any other tilt susceptible furniture to the wall. Any advice on how to proceed with this?

In Grifol we trust. Let's hope he can motivate the boys to their true potential and be pleasantly surprised in 2023!

#8 in the nation in 2021. In-state neighbor St. Louis was #1. Chicago was not in the top 25.
That is mind-blowing considering how much people dunk on Chicago.
