Crede took a pitch.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:16 PM) Oh boy, anyone else nervous about these hangers? Two straight that Cuddyer has fouled off. Not at all.

Charlotte wins 14-9. Bull started gave up 6ER in 5IP. Casanova homered, multi - hit games for the usual suspects, still no Borch. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...=g_box&did=milb B-Ham won 2-1. Excellent start for Tracey, 7IP, 1ER, 1BB and 5K's. Young 0 for 3 with 2BB's, Fields 1 for 3 with 2BB's. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...cmcaax_biraax_1 Winston - Salem lost 4-2. Moat started giving up 1ER in 3.1IP, only 1 hit games for the likes of Valido, Schnur etc. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...wilafx_wswafx_1 Kanny got postponed.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) Right now, I'd be inclined to trade Rowand this off-season over all of them. Rowand may have more value than any of them, especially if he comes with a GG. If you could get a middle of the line-up bat, like Overbay or something I could live with Anderson in CF and at the bottom of the line-up struggling for a year. If Rowand's power ain't gonna come back, agree 100%. Problem is Milwaulkee already has Brady Clark, Rowand probably isn't enough of an upgrade. Arizona however...........

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:38 PM) For some reason, I always thought the Sox would move Sweeney to 1b. Is that even an option? Maybe, depends on other factors like locking up Konerko long - term and how Casey Rogowski can handle the majors.
-
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) True, I'm just assuming he's with a big league club next season. Not necessarily this one, but a big league club, nonetheless Out of Young, Sweeney or Anderson if 1's dealt, I'd actualy like it to be Brian. He's probably got the least potential out of the 3 but is the most sure thing. Maybe in a trade for a 3rd baseman in the off-season perhaps?
-
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Next season, his numbers won't be pretty. That depends whether he's starting for the White Sox or the Knights.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) So what kind of major league player do you see him becoming. numbers wise. power wise. obp wise. If you'd venture a guess, though i suspect its all guesswork at this stage. Right now, I'd sort of guess Jacque Jones like production. Around .270, 20-25HR's, 90 RBI's.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Man, I'm glad Cliffy got out of that. He makes me nervous lately. Is Dustin available/healthy enough to pitch tonight? He hasn't seen action since NY I believe. Cotts was warming up, don't think Hermy was.
-
Cliff's a bit wild tonight so far.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) Marte quickly retiring Morneau/Mauer is an even better sign. He's had a reoccuring problem of running LH's full or leaving breaking balls over the plate. And he was able to throw the slider for strikes as well.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) What was his knock in Charlotte? Too many Ks? Yeah had about a 3 to 1 K/BB ratio.
-
Anderson being able to play in any OF spot is really gonna help us down the stretch if he can produce with the bat.
-
Good Marte is getting that call low on the outside corner. That's always a good sign.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:14 PM) I'm not sure if you watched a lot of the spring training games, but I remembered Anderson getting a lot of bloopers and flares. Does anyone else remember seeing these types of hits frequently? Watchin him on those high fastballs obviously he's got to work on that quite a bit, with his swings. A very good AB that was though.
-
That was very lucky it didn't go for a ground rule double.
-
BWAHAHAHAHA. Timo. My god.
-
That was a good hit by Brian, reminded me of one Crede had earlier in the year ball down low 1 hand on the bat.
-
There goes my prediction on Radke. And of all people, Juan Uribe.
-
Man if Aaron gets under that a little more it's 3-3.
-
I'm hoping Crain comes in. He's had about a 7.9 ERA since the start of July. Or Mulholland.
-
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) Radke's got a good change up tonight. Yep and he won't walk a batter all night would be my guess too.
