QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) Thanks! What I don't get is that even if you think the race is over, the Indians/Twins losing is still a good thing. The more they lose, the sooner we could clinch the division. That means more rest, as well as more playing time for those minor leaguers we love him. The Gap Demon Ross Gload can star! The only gap demon associated with Gload this season was that grounder at KC that went right through the gap in his legs. agreed. anything that makes the magic number go down is important.

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) Beautiful! Anyone else notice Graffy offer to take PK's elbow guard back to the first base coach? yeah, i've also noticed they could be brothers, they really look alike.

Konerko on his usual 2nd half tear. the more this season goes by, the more i want him around next year.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) Not as ridiculous as Buehrle probably losing Tuesday Night against Santana. i know i don't speak just for myself on this one: you have jumped many posters to be the most annoying person on this board. i'd hate to see what you are like during an 02 type season.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) Tell me that the Bears draft Tom Brady ahead of the Pats that year, that he would have been half as good. w/ ron turner at the helm OF COURSE but i know what your saying, but also.....talent is there in the late rounds.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 10:47 AM) And if Kyle Orton is so good, how come 31 other GMs let him fall to the 4th round? tom brady i believe orton has a shot at being an NFL quarterback, he showed good signs last year at purdue.......while also showing some terrible ones. we'll see
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 14, 2005 -> 08:49 AM) I love Bears fans already proclaiming Orton to be the next saviour........... the NEXT saviour? ooooooh where's jim miller when you need him?
-
QUOTE(farmteam @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) Yup. Melody, I think her name was. Why do I remember that? salute your shorts was better

QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) Isn't it kind of hard to watch a baseball game on your computer? The games aren't full screen, right? no, and yes, it's amazingly good as long as your not used to an "extra innings" package or anything
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) Meh. I'm rooting for Borchard and a select few of us knows why
-
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) So you can become a star QB but fall on hard times for doing Crack. You know, basic stuff like that. you had me laughing out loud at the "basic stuff" comment. hahahah

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) Isn't it funny, when the Sox get on a roll, "well, we still have alot to prove, lets see what they can do in the playoffs" but when the Sox catch a bump in the road in the regular season, "This team still has alot to prove in the regular season" Which is it???? it's the one where we lose every game from here on out silly

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Another meangingless HR. This time by A-Row. Pumping his numbers as always. are you f***ing serious? leave, leave now. it's the 7th inning, a 5 run deficit does not equal automatic L. "ace"
-
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Meaningless HR. At least PK has 200. I didn't even know he was close. yep, meaningless. how dare we score runs.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Exactly. I don't know why all the optimism that we'll get Griffey Jr. now. The Reds owner turned down the deal two weeks ago. It's not like much has changed. arg. i've stayed out of that thread because i didn't want to get my hopes up. now hearing that does it for me

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:48 PM) Game over, flip flip flip... "Ace"

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) Good grief, pull Garland. Absolutely no reason to pile up the pitches on him tonight. agreed. this is the situation adkins is here for.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) They couldnt hit in April or May. They hit well in June and July. And now they cant hit in August. In June and July they had this guy named Thomas that got on base, and got the guys behind him some better pitches to hit. frank was good in about half the games he played, but he had his share of 0fers. I think it has more to do w/ scotty getting on for us to be succesful.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) I have seen teams where a guy or two get cold. But not entire groups of our players at once. This is mays offensive struggles all over again. Hopefully they pick up someone. Or we are toast in the playoffs. think about this. you said they had may struggles, so that's implying that DIDN'T have june/july struggles. A team can have a bad month. The playoffs are all about who's hot at the moment. We've seen this team click.....don't be so sure of failure.

good inning for jon. let's do something about it now.
-
QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Im sure , those temas are saying that about our Juggernaut offensive team as well. and they're probably right, what's your point?
-
QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Aug 13, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) The Angels can score runs and have decent pitching.. not to mention a great bullpen. We need to hit or like D.J. says... Bye, bye the angels are the most beatable team IMO
