Tony La Russa named Manager
Agree entirely, IBM Watson could be the best manager in the game these days, it's more so about the philosphies of the staff I'm curious about Everyone in baseball outside Robin Ventura, Ricky Renteria, and Kevin Cash momentarily can manage a ball club

Speaking of watching games, I read he attended 150+ games during a season with Boston...obviously in a lesser role...This guy is a baseball lifer and arguably the greatest ever I

The Anthem and Military support are political? Should be unifying national pride, not partisan

Ah yes, Latins should manage strictly Latins and so on and so on My Lord Point is that he shares a commonality with much of his roster

That'd be ideal, Espada too But, TLR has spoke Spanish since childhood

So, we all would have preferred Hinch? If not Hinch, than who? Cora is not an option We upgraded from RR today and for that I am ecstatic...nice man, horrible manager

I do wish TLR had an idea of a potential staff..Hopefully he's begun to reach out to players

Even if this is the case (which I think is being blown out of proportion), who is Rick Hahn? Mr. Executive of the Year is not the second coming as I think we've all seen for almost a decade now

I believe the Manager and GM will cooperatively work together as contemporaries

Oh we hired TLR as GM? I misread

Aside from the ring he won in Boston, I was more so pointing out that he's been around the game in recent years

What TLR said wasn't controversial at the time, nor should it interfere with him professionally TLR has spent his years away from managing...in the Front Office Is he actually in contact with Duncan (I thought he wasn't a candidate) or any of his former players? I would prefer a younger staff, especially BC

I keep seeing this notion as well, why? TLR will manage and Hahn/KW will be the FO I like FOs that stay out of managing, is that okay?

I'll say it: While I don't love the hire, the outrage online is RIDICULOUS At the minimum, this team just upgraded at manager IF TLR surrounds himself with a good staff, I'll be ecstatic Cora wasn't an option here (He'll be back in Boston) and Hinch was a product of an excellent FO TLR will be competent at the minimum and that will, hopefully, be all we need
