Wtf Pedro? First you bring in Diekman yet again (why does he love Jake so much?) Then you decide to take Lopez out of the closer role which he has been good.

Well that was the Cardinals 3rd game of the season. Who is to say if he was ready to go in January? He also pitched 5 games in spring training that year so obviously he was ready to go 15 or so months post surgery

Nothing like playing a man down for a series just for us to realize he needs an extra 5-10 days off
