At least Anderson played in 100 games before signing his. Eloy, Moncada, Robert were all considered top prospects by a hundred different publications. I am not saying the guarantee money is the reason they all have had issues but I think it is at least part of it. Guys like that who come from nowhere and get all this money before even doing anything meaningful at that young of an age has to mess with them a bit

At least Acuna already had a year (rookie of the year) before signing an extension. We just gave our guys extensions before they even played or barely played

Vlad never signed an extension right at the start of his career, Eloy did. I think it has a little bit to do with it. When you are that young and you are already guaranteed a certain amount of money it has to effect the motivation
