Jose Abreu

This reminds me of Peavy's nightmare game at SAFECO last year.

sigh. 7-2

Ackley's 18-32 with the bases loaded? Seriously? edit- now 19-33

A camera filming a camera filming a camera filming the game. Thanks, WGN.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 11:10 PM) I am 21.. That is why I asked where he is from. Just trying to understand why he posts the way he does OK, I'm in high school so I was wondering if by "young" you meant 15-25 or under 40.

Webb has been OK this year. Just needs to watch the walks

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 11:07 PM) I am pretty young myself but I can hardly comprehend what he is saying. Also he is talking crazy Maybe he's a foreigner, I don't know. How young are you

QUOTE (peavy44 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 11:07 PM) U people have fun making fun of me makes no sense. don't worry buddy you're fine

QUOTE (peavy44 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 11:06 PM) Its a rebuilding year who cares who we throw out there. Some of the guys who are long-term pieces need more time to develop in the minors. Carroll is almost 30 (if not already) and he is not part of this team's future plans.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 11:05 PM) Where are you from?or how old are you? Hey now, we younger posters can use comprehensible grammar...

retalitation! go Scott

By the way people usually talk about Viciedo here, you wouldn't think he has 15 HRs this year.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:49 PM) Given his history of taking a while to adjust to the level he gets promoted to. I honestly think getting him to master one level at a time is the smart plan. He's hitting .291 in Charlotte, he was just promoted earlier this year

QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:47 PM) Yeah....first time there and its with my Grandfather. That's the main reason. You have been forgiven

While I don't think Micah is ready yet, he certainly isn't as far away as some of you are saying... what makes you think he needs another full year?

QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:43 PM) Merkin just tweeted me its tough to drop every guy who doesnt meet expectations. Except for the little fact that we have his replacement in the minors. Seriously, your avatar is at Wrigley?

slick play Alexei

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) They won't spend that much on Miller, which is probably good, or else we would get so sick of hearing the term "Nintendo Stuff" With the way our LH relievers have performed this year, I'd be willing to bear it.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:33 PM) Truly believe Beckham is gone when the Sox get back next week. Nice to see the head case change up his swing again. I doubt that will happen. However I hope it does.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:32 PM) 2 outcome hitter... Strikeout or pop out or a weird half-swing-on-a-pitch-that-almost-hit-him that results in a weak groundout to the catcher

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:31 PM) I love Hawk, but I disagree about the future. He just said "starting next year good times a comin." How can he say that when the team needs pitching so badly? Sale, Q, Danks and Rodon to start next year sounds good. But if Rodon isn't ready, we have only 2 reliable starters plus off and on Danks, who despite my love for him, may not be special. That leaves a team with no bullpen and horrible defense. The defense doesn't project to be better next year, does it? We also need a DH in the post-Dunn era. I mean I despise Dunn, but Sox still are in need of a slugger at DH. Question marks at second and catcher remain. And Gillaspie always could cool off. His defense is atrocious. So in conclusion... IS HAWK RIGHT? I'd be happy if he was. We have good pieces in Putnam and Petricka. I expect us to sign Andrew Miller as well.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:30 PM) Gordon with a chance to tie it up not much of a chance of anything but an out with him at the plate

nice AB moises

Last time I watched the Sox play in Seattle in this room on this TV and on this channel, Alexei hit a GW grand slam in the 9th.

Carlos Rodon, we need you
