If this is true I'm thrilled at the recent moves from the FO. In the past they would have never made some of them. DFA Danks, Sands, Rollins, Latos and bringing in Shields, Anderson, and Morneau. Then they draft Collins, Burdi, and the OK pitcher. On Anderson, I think they are in WIN NOW mode and saw that Tyler is not an everyday player. Since he has been playing everyday lately his defense has dipped and his offense is still way below average. At least this move should bring a lot more energy to the ballpark, in the dugout and in the stands.

We have not come to bat yet, but if it's too late too pick then ignore my pick. I'll take Abreu

Here is my thougts on Shields after one inning. His stiff looked pretty good. His change up was bitting down and away. His two seamer was just nasty. He is most likely amped up and trying to impress everyone. So I'll give him a pass on that first inning, especially since Harper bunted and beat shift, Avila missed an easy block, and Frazier booted a double play ball. f*** it....let's just see what he does in his next start
