I believe @macsandz was the first one to confirm that we’ve been talking to Cruz since December.
Ok cool, I’m just confused because he said that Beef was hedging his bets like he made this stuff up but I don’t take what he tweeted as that. I was wondering if @macsandz was saying it was all a lie or something.

Here comes the hedge...there will be one on Wainwright soon as well.
I know you seem to always respond to tweets by Steve Stone or now these food guys and make it seem like they know nothing but earlier in this thread y2Jimmy even said the Sox have a offer on him. Many other accounts (Bilek, Y2Jimmy, Cishek) have said the Sox are interested in Wainwright as well. So are you saying that Cruz and Wainwright are indeed not on the Sox radar and this is all fake?

Weird that Vinnie reposted this a few hours before the universal DH stuff leaked
-
Haha, Hector Gomez retweeted this. Add him to the list of real reporters/ people with real connections that have interacted with the Beef.

Just seems odd to take your biggest need and give it the smallest budget, hahaha. I don't necessarily think he's helping Cruz out. Nobody else has mentioned his tweets or connected the Sox to Cruz like he has. IDK, I guess we'll see what ends up happening.
Yeah man, I don’t have high hopes for the prospects of getting Cruz but I didn’t think Closer was a big need either and they broke the bank. If there is anything this team spends on its closers and aging sluggers

He obviously has some connections, but it just feels like he's jumping the gun. I don't understand how they have no money for a SP, but they do for a DH?
I mean his source appears to be Nelson Cruz himself. He could also just be doing a buddy a favor to get the Twins to up their offer (they already did according to Heyman). And I get that logic but once they signed Eaton it felt like they had no money. You could have said “they only have 8mil for a RF how could they afford 54 Mil for a closer!” But they seem to be going to cheap in some areas to bolster others. Who knows

Hector is almost too convinced. Maybe Nelson Cruz is really contemplating taking the Sox offer

I have no doubt that the White Sox want Waino but does anyone believe he’s serious about leaving the Cards? I just find it hard to believe they would let him walk. It would be a horrible look.

Yep...pretty much so.🙂
Our own James Fox confirmed to me on Twitter and he has yet to steer us wrong so I think that’s legit news at this point

I’m sure this will be the time the incredibly advanced in age free agent recreates their production instead of falling off a cliff.
It’s gotta work at some point right? Right?

weird that the team that saw him up close last year isn’t jumping at chance to sign him up for his age 39/40 season.
Probably because they don’t value loyalty, definitely st Louis’ rep 🥴
That’s the only part that scares me! But it could also be them being cheap as they have not signed anyone all offseason.

We’re all in a group chat together. Brian and others give Dayton a hard time because they think he’s Not Cishek. It’s just a joke.
Thanks Jimmy!

Are Cishek and Dayton the same guy?! 🤔

Idk, I’d rather have Wainwright than Richards. He’s always injured.

What are the chances that Hector never mentions this again? Lol

I think I remember Steve Stone saying something similar to what Al’s tweeted. I just can’t find the tweet. Maybe he took this from Stone.
Edit: found it
I would really hate this to be true. One of the only things you can have pride in as a Sox fan is the way they lock up talent long term.

I am still waiting for Hectors predictions from the Machado offseason to come true.
It already did. He said the Sox offered 8/250. Passan and Rosenthal confirmed that very number after the fact.

I’ve always liked Hector and have never understood how people can get one thing right after another and the moment they make a mistake, they are full of crap. It’s always what have you done for me lately I guess. Rosenthal was wrong yesterday so I guess he’s fake too. It’s pretty cool to have a good bat to speculate about.

I’ll just be the first to say that Encarnacion shocked me last year too.

Yeah no offense but that’s stupid. From the beginning of my time here I have been critical of everyone who claims to have inside info. Once someone gets something right I believe them and trust their info. If you want to accuse me of being those guys than I won’t feel bad about about telling the truth, the next time you get something right will be the first time I’ve personally ever seen it. Around the Harper and Machado stuff you would pop in with random cryptic bs that never became true. Sorry that other users and Twitter accounts have jumped you in credibility. You just pop in to say Steve Stone knows nothing or these food guys are full of crap and I’m sorry it bothers you for me to ask you to clarify. I guess being an anonymous guy on a message board that has a friend in the White Sox front office makes you feel cool?
