  1. Well, I would rather have the decision working out than whatever the most favorable strategy is, which may or may not work out. And in that situation, with runners on 2nd and third and less than 2 outs (or was it bases loaded? Can't remember) in a close game in the 8th and considering who was up...not sure there is a more favorable strategy. Maybe trying for a sac fly? But then you run the risk of hitting into a double play, and even if the sac was successful, Cordell is out. He was safe with this bunt AND scored the run. Each play has it's risks which are higher lr lower depending on the situation. I think bunting there was the most favorable option. That is my opinion.
  2. Which I agree with. Don't get me wrong, there were many instances where I didnt care for the Sox showing bunt early in the game (esp. with Moncada), but Toronto did it just as much. It's not just the White Sox. There is a time and a place for it, and that was the time and place. Worked to perfection.
  3. At the game tonight. All you bunt haters can stfu lol...that Cordell squeeze was epic
  4. Didn't he call himself a jackass or something like that at SoxFest for doing the trade?
  5. They should make a "beat the streak: White Sox injury version: who's gonna get injured today on the White Sox??"
  6. Literally what i did
  7. Luplow to the Sox as Matt Davidson is to the Royals.
  8. I bet they sign a free agent or dumpster dive and trade for one for cash or something. Doubt Cease is brought up soon.
  9. Lol, an injury a day for this team. Comical at this point. You just expect it.
  10. Yeah, you need McCann hitting in that situation.
  11. Thank you for your info. The paying for parking twice annoys me.
  12. Feel free to move this thread to a better spot, but I felt posing it on the main forum would get me the best responses. I'm going to my first game of the year on Thursday night, and of course the forecast is calling for a half inch of heavy rain that night. My guess is, with Toronto not coming back to town and the two don't play each other in another series this year, the game will probably be played as part of a double-header on Friday or Saturday. Here is my question: how does this work? If I show up at the game and pay for parking and they end up postponing it, would I have to pay for parking again for the makeup? Would I be able to get into the 2nd game free if it is played after the makeup game? Do they kick you out of the park? Any other valuable info I should know about makeup games? I've never been to one. Kind of hoping it gets postponed tbh and I get a different starter...right now Covey is lined up to pitch Thursday night Thank you kindly, Scoots.
  13. That was one scenario. I was trying to make the point that plugging things into a computer doesn't solve the problem. You need managers to think about things that computers wouldn't be able to (at least right now) to make a decision.
  14. Thanks. Yeah I knew whatever happened with Rodon it wasn't gonna be good. Ive just been out of tune with Sox news the last couple days. I'm going to my first game of the year on Thursday night and was hoping to see Eloy, but if he's gonna do a rehab stint it's probably not gonna happen. Now with Leury hurt...ughhh. It also looks like Covey is lined up to be the starter. Just my luck lol.
  15. Speaking of injuries...has there been any updates on Eloy? Rodon?
  16. Forgot bout Cordell...probably that is what happens
  17. So many damn injuries. Now what...Tilson to center and Rondon to right?
  18. Sox just unloaded on Sanchez
  19. Leury should sue Toronto like that one player sued us for the electrical box lol
  20. Is that thing even padded?
  21. This is what I am concerned about. I don't like the idea of sitting the hottest hitter in the lineup for 2 days in a row even if he is a catcher. Let him ride the hot streak until he cools off a bit. Idk, maybe the rest will allow him to sustain it longer.
