Vaughn needs to get out of the 9 hole, he hasn't earned the title of second leadoff man.
-
Stop being over optimistic.
-
The Legend is showing great plate discipline (for him)
-
Gio battled just like Kopech on Sunday... can't ask for anything more from the starting rotation. They've been stellar for over a month now.
-
Its a whole new ball game. Sox are better than the Royals... I feel momentum swinging in their favor after that last inning.
-
Its a national origin, not a race. And a lot of the Sox players signed from Cuba have been free swingers with bad plate discipline. Anybody remember Alexi Ramirez? It works a lot of the time for them, but when it doesnt, its really bad.
-
Thats been their MO since day 1. Just wait until Eloy gets back!
-
The Sox refuse to get in a hitters count. They wont do it.
-
Tim should bunt. Engel has speed at third.
-
TA first pitch swinging. Leury first pitch swinging. We need a new approach.
-
They're slumping. Its a .500 team.
-
They need to start a fight, a benches clearing brawl. Its the best chance at waking this team up.
-
6 groundouts.
-
I made a simple math error.
-
Its 2-1. Giolito has given up 2 run in 3 innings - I call that a okay start. All the angst here is misdirected, should be at the DAMN OFFENSE!
-
Lucas gonna last 4 innings max. Woo bullpen game.
-
Agreed, excellent first post.
-
Last year the Sox get swept in New York and everyone had a melt down. It was bad.

Flying in for a couple games, need info

Downtown shootings were up 220% in 2021, and it hasn't slowed down so far in 2022. They're up another 64% OVER the 2021 spike. https://chicago.suntimes.com/2021/10/29/22751518/downtown-chicago-loop-shootings-murder-river-north https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2022/5/2/23054296/downtown-shootings-homicides-violence-moulin-rouge-nederlander-river-north-streeterville-cpd-police Not sure what folks in here gain from pretending like everything is fine, maybe they're on Lori's payroll, idk. But as I said in my post, you'll probably be fine if you stay in Riv North. But the Loop after work is a ghost town, and crime there has sky rocketed since Covid. You need to be aware of your surroundings at all times downtown. Its not a slight against Chicago, I live here and want it to succeed, but its the reality right now. I personally know two people who have been car jacked in the River North/Old Town area in the last 2 1/2 years. This is not normal. -

No, I meant the results over his entire career of course. You're asking what he brings to the team, but you only want to look at the last 125 games and not the previous 2 decades. -
The talent isn't what we thought it was. Eloy is a bust, Moncada is looking that way too, Abreu's age has caught up with him quickly. Who else is left? Is TA, Robert, and Grandal supposed to carry the entire team? There are 6 other lineup spots to fill and they all suck. You have Vaughn who has looked shaky lately but overall been a bright spot.

So many things. He led an injury devastated ball club to 90+ wins and a division championship last year with basically have the team injured for the second half of the season. He manages the bullpen excellently. He keeps the attention off the players so they can just focus on the game at hand, unlike Ozzie who was all drama all the time. Now, with injuries ravaging the team again, he has prevented a collapse and kept them hovering around .500 until the players, who have sucked, can turn it around. plus I cant even get into the fact that most of what a manager does in unseen to fans. We have no clue what goes on in the clubhouse, we only know the results speak for themselves. -

If someone else buys the team they'll probably relocate it out of Chicago. JR's loyalty to this city will be hard to replicate. -

Yes... and since then they've made up and TA very publicly called for Tony to return in 2022. Again, what point do you think this proves. -

A year old tweet lol. Do you realize how irrelevant this is?
