  1. Carpe Diem is a vigilante who is worried the White Sox may become the Las Vegas Aces
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 08:11 AM) Yeah I agree with you DA. Why create a thread like this when your new to the board and claim that you have inside information? Doesn't make sense. I don't give the slightest eff you see kay Let the chips fall where they may and check my record after the storm settles. Convince me otherwise Kenny Williams was a good GM. Please.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 07:37 AM) While winning a world series probably doesn't exclude you from being a bad GM, it should exclude you from being all time bad. Also, if you have sources in the front office, you probably shouldn't be bashing them. Lol the front office is as divided as the media make it seem. They somehow stumbled upon hiring quite a few very bright and innovative baseball mind, but in typical JR fashion...his cronies have too much influence. Although from what I am hearing, Kenny isn't really in control of where Chris Sale gets moved. So need to get nervous....yet.
  4. The fact this smug, pompous, arrogant, goofy, AWFUL baseball careerist is STILL a powerful figure in within this orginization is the biggest slap in the face I have ever felt as a sports face. Worse than any Ron Turner offense or Mel Tucker defense. I won't completely rehash what has been said about how he struck gold in 2005 on career years from literally 85% of the roster and how he wasted money on aging DH's/OF's. Instead I want to very bluntly suggest to people who haven't already done so: Google the White Sox draft history during the Kenny Williams era. THIS ALONE SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO CAN HIS ASS! HE MAKES MATT MILLEN LOOK COMPETENT. And no I do not think he racially biased. Fire Kenny Williams shirts and posters are gonna be EVERYWHERE at the G-RATE. Watch.
  5. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 07:00 AM) I don't/never doubted you. You got anything else for us though from your sources? Nah I spoke with him a few days ago and was told "99% chance the show will start December 4th and unless the Rangers pony up Odor its still between Astros and Dodgers"
  6. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 06:52 AM) You come on a message board boasting that you're Ken Rosenthal. What did you expect? Contrary to some reports, not everything on the internet is the truth. I get my info from real people. Not internet.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 06:49 AM) Talking in 3rd person on a message board? #virgin Accusing an anonymous online identity of being a virgin = weird as f***
  8. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 06:46 AM) Pound your own chest much King Kong? Only when I'm doing battle with White Sox fans who think Adam Eaton for Vlad Guererro Jr is a fair deal. Or White Sox fans who won't cheer for the team because a soon to be popular former President is interested in being a minority owner.
  9. I see a lot of talk about Carpe Diem not being tuthful because a lot of you guys are senstive over politics and don't like reality..... Well well well well well Astros about to sign ANOTHER power bat??? I WONDER WHY???? Keep doubting me though.
  10. Anyone who carries political views into sports is a dumbf*** in my opinion. I'm part of the Angry Middle so take my word for what you want, but who the hell cares what side of the isle they are if they can help the team win.
  11. I hate to burst any bubbles, but if you don't think the White Sox are in trouble going forward you are an idiot. Look at how much attendance has slipped and continutes to do so. The product has been garbage since 2005 and the Cubs have FINALLY taken a stranglehold on the Chicago market ...in large part by HIRING A SMART FRONT OFFICE AND SPENDING MONEY. Obama would give the White Sox NEEDED exposure and stability.
  12. QUOTE (Lillian @ Nov 27, 2016 -> 05:49 PM) I hope that this is some kind of a joke, a bad joke. Nah it is reality....politics aside it isn't a bad idea at all.
  13. Apparently this is a done deal and his stake will start small, but will potentially grow into him becoming the majority owner.
  14. QUOTE (Ro Da Don @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:04 PM) Yuck agreed, but that is not to say there aren't other prospects that the White Sox covet. He was just the name that was thrown out to me, and I can't say I was surprised by it lol
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) Appreciate sharing the news. Any word on who the Dodgers are dangling? Any word on if the package is just Sale or if Frazier and/oor Robertson are included as well? No problem, apparently any prospect on the Dodgers is available. So the "Urias is off limits" fuzz is just that. However, I was told that if the Dodgers include Urias they are not keen on including Bellinger, but that was just for Sale straight up. If White Sox added more I'm sure Bellinger would be added. Only other name that was mentioned is Calhoun ( White Sox//Kenny Williams love him)
  16. In regards for the Sale derby. Red Sox actually appear to be telling the truth when they say they won't pony up the price it would take to get Sale. Apparently Bregman and Springer are being dangled (not together) but the team still would ideally prefer trading him to the NL. Take this with a grain of salt if you want, but my source has been right about everything he has said so far dating back to 2014.
  17. Adam Eaton would get more in a trade than Chris Sale. Fact. 5 years $38 million for a 6 WAR player? And you are talking about Vlad Jr. wowowowowowow These discussions are beyond silly, not to mention it is extremely frightening there are so many ignorant White Sox fans.
  18. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 08:45 AM) I wish I could be as positive about a rebuilt White Sox team like some of the people who post here. I've seen enough lousy White Sox teams in my lifetime and I'm really worried about a 2017 rebuilt White Sox team. Trading Sale, Quintana. Eaton. Abreu, Calbrera. Frazier and Robertson might appeal to some people but it doesn't to me. I don't want to see a team that is a expansion team. The stadium will be a ghost town if that happens. Trading their best players for prospects will lead this franchise into its darkest years since the 1930s. I'm real curious to see how this off season plays out. I can't believe that JR (at his age) wants to see a White Sox team that will compared to the 1962 Mets. Last but not least, I'm still hoping the team signs Cespedes. get the fck outta here plz
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 07:06 PM) If the Sox don't get a HUGE package of can't miss prospects, I'm talking four minimum prospects who CAN'T MISS, then this will be perhaps the worst trade in history. Losing Sale and Frazier guarantees we finish last in the division. It guarantees it. Our pitching staff will be decimated losing Sale's No. 1 slot. And Frazier, despite the low BA, was our power. So, OK, we are going to finish last and we'll be out of the race probably by the end of the first week of May. Like I said, you better have a CANT MISS HAUL of prospects to make all that misery (and crowds of under 20,000) acceptable. The obvious question is, "Do the Dodgers have any can't miss prospects?" Don't tell me you have to take a risk now and then. Uh ... not for Sale and Frazier. Any moron can tell Kris Bryant and Schwarber could HIT HIT HIT. Any moron could tell back in the day Frank Thomas could HIT HIT HIT. Bring in prospects like that or this team will draw so few fans the next five years it will have to sell/move. you sir are a fuzz spouting dumbass
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 07:59 PM) Even if we got a new owner, there would not be a new stadium. If the new owner demanded one, he/she still would fail and the team would have to move. We've already discussed the stadium thing to death. It's not happening ... ever. Whoever is the next owner of the White Sox will likely have a wealth of at least $5 billion. If they truly wanted they could buy Lakefront property and foot the $750 mil stadium. I know a lot of arrogant and snobbish economists will say that is stupid, but you know what their reward will be? A highly highly respected legacy throughout Chicago-land that will last forever. We need an owner who is a fan first, businessman second.
  21. The problems have been so friggin obvious that I'm starting to feel the only way they will be solved is by new ownership. They include: -The stadium is located in a terrible part of town and lacks originality. Build a stadium (from their own pockets) on the Lake with the Skyline featured as well and I will bet anything attendance BOOMS. -Kenny Williams is still here. He is he equivalent to an NFL coach who runs the Tampa 2 with no adjustments. He struck gold ONE TIME with his backwards ways and has been average at BEST since. He needs to go ASAP. -EMBRACE YOUTH. I know the Chicago sports media/radio is full of insufferable Cubs shills, but the reality of the matter is they didn't event the philosphy of blowing it all up and starting from scratch. It's common f***in sense. Fix these issues and the White Sox will be a formidable franchise.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 04:02 PM) The results we received from some players weren't something that could have been expected. Dunn was an absolute bust his first year here. Real bad is not even the right label to put on his season. But, he did turn it around power wise which is why we got him. Plus folks calling Reinsdorf names and a failure etc better understand that the man OWNS the Sox. Heck, we could be perennial cellar dwellers and he would still be the owner. There is no benefit to be calling for his replacement. If he sells that is his call to make not a bunch of rabid posters on this site. I don't like where we have finished anymore than the next guy but I do admire Jerry's loyalty to his people This is some of the biggest fuzz I have ever read/heard. Professional sports teams are PUBLIC TRUSTS. If they want us to give a s*** about them, they owe us not only competence, but trust that winning championships is the only goal. Without fan support they have nothing. For FAR too long the White Sox fan-base has adopted this mindset that JR isn't the problem. He is more loyal to his employees than he is his fan-base and that is disgraceful.
  23. I don't fault management for giving it a run with this core, but after 2+ years I've seen enough to know this team is 4-5 impact players away from even contending for the division. I'm going to sound repetitive, but this issue I'm about to bring up CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH. The franchise's future is at stake. The White Sox have a once in a generation opportunity to create one of the best farm systems EVER ASSEMBLED if they blow this thing up leaving only Carlos Rodon and Tim Anderson in its wake. I'm talking potentially having anywhere from 16-20 of the top 100 prospects in all of baseball if you factor in Fulmer Collins, Burdi, Hansen. That is unprecedented a team can make over their entire farm system/trajectory of their franchise in one house cleaning session. If the White Sox trick themselves into thinking Chris Sale will somehow magically learn to control his emotions and not get hit hard bu the AL central I'm going to REVOLT in a way that will resemble Braveheart. Obama or Mark Cuban for owner signs will be EVERYWHERE. Stay tuned.
