Really loved this article on John Tumminia (as caulfield often points out the father in law of Ben Cherington) and his work behind scenes prepping for this trade.

 

Should be heartwarming to Soxtalk to note that he was also high on the Nats Severino.

It was interesting to see them very interested in Severino as well. It makes me wonder if we could see him revisited as a part of a Robertson deal eventuallly.

Brian's interview with Hostetler covered this as well, including Tumminia's work. Love seeing the scouts getting pub around the media.

I always figured they would target Severino because he is familiar with both Giolito and Lopez.
