October 3, 200322 yr Fans of any sport can point to subtle nuances which are exclusive to their favorite game. In the case of hockey you can look at faceoff positioning and timing, the timing and execution of line changes to gain favorable matchups, the way a goaltender can direct rebounds away from opposing forwards and toward his own teammates, power play management, and so on. These subtleties can be admired much more in person, where you see "the game within the game" taking place away from the puck. I am not trying to minimize or demean anyone else's reasons for choosing a sport as their favorite, I'm just saying that I'd rather watch a hockey game than any other sport, given the choice.
October 3, 200322 yr I'll take baseball anyday, it is by far the most interesting and exciting sport.
October 3, 200322 yr World Cup soccer was fun to watch Summer 2002. I don't much care for MLS but Premier League is fun to watch too.
October 3, 200322 yr Good post, bmr. I'm glad we all agree baseball is the best. I always say the best day of the year is Opening Day and the worst day of the year is that Sunday when there is no more ball, unless of course we make the playoffs. The first day of spring training ain't a bad day, either.
October 3, 200322 yr I love watching World Cup soccer. Too bad it only comes around once every four years. But I guess that's what makes it even more fun.
October 3, 200322 yr I dunno... I think I'd have to play that Bikini Paint Ball before I agree 100%... I'll pay for you to play Bikini Paint Ball if I can wash the paint off of you after you are finished.
