October 2, 200322 yr I think the most important point in that article is The Barons led the league in hitting (.270), saves (45) and one-run winning percentage (27-20). One run winning percentage.... although 27 - 20 isn't that great i think that stat show how hard you play, and doing the little things that win ball games.
October 2, 200322 yr I hope they at least talk to him. He's done a heck of a job in the organization and has earned that right.
October 3, 200322 yr I like the idea of Backman, Guillen and Gaston. Not incredibly familiar with Buddy Bell. I know he never had any good teams to work with...thats about it. I'd love to have either Gaston and Guillen/Backman (3rd base coach) or just go with Backman or Guillen and let them hire their own guy respectively. I love the rest of our coaching staff and believe any of these three choices would be good.
