Why did Kodi Medeiros drop out of Top-30 Prospects?

Featured Replies

I was looking at the Sox Top-30 prospect on MLB.com and Medeiros is nowhere on the list. He was (I think) 16th or 17th last year. And what I saw of his stats in spring training, he looked solid, at least. Does anyone have a reason why he would fall off the list. Also, where was he assigned? AA or AAA? Thanks.

He wasn't great with Birmingham + unranked draftees jumping him

He's currently assigned to AA.

He's #29 on the Future Sox rankings, which in my (very biased) opinion is the best ranking you'll get for the White Sox farm system.

In my unbiased opinion it is easily the best ranking and info you'll get on the sox farm system

Vast majority of people also consider him a future reliever, even though the Sox keep starting him (and there's nothing wrong with that development path). You don't see many relievers ranked in the Top 30.
