Ozzie should be the manager hell give the team confidence. Who do u think should be manager?

Somebody with WS Championship as manager experience NOT named Cito Gaston.

I want Backman, although all signs say he's not even a realistic candidate anymore.

I really, really, really like Ozzie, as most Sox fans do, and I do think he could do wonders for this team and it's public relations. I know we need a winner on the field, but if things go bad (good?) on the other side of town, we need somebody who people will like. If Ozzie can get them to win, then I think the Sox will survive anything that happens in this post season.

 

But in a first year management situation, I don't think that can happen. Man, it's a catch 22 in many ways. But we need a winning team (duh) and one that people will WANT to see for more than just the winning. IMO or course.

I think the general disposition is that we need a manager that will kick some ass around the clubhouse.

I guess it because he hasn't managed in a long time. I don't mind him. I don't think we need an ass kicker but someone who makes his point clear and is serious about it.

 

That said, if it because the time ya know how long Jeff Torborg was without a job when he joined the SOx in 1989. about 9 or 10 years

I nominate Jason Gage for the Sox' next manager!

whats jesse jackson got to do with us picking a new manager????? lol....i dont recall him ever writin his name on a pay check directed twards any of the white sox........... the best man will get the job and it will be whoever jr picks not jesse jackson i guarentee ya that one......

sorry yas wasnt really directin that twards you, but to my fan there......jesse shouldnt be in the equation your right on that one.......

I want an anonymous benchcoach, who will work for cheap and have just a little something our PR department can wrap themselves around to sell as the final piece and give hope. Perhaps the next Larussa.
