Yankees vs. Cubs in the Series would be unimaginably awful.

I'd hope for 20 straight days of rain/snow/wind.

No, make that 50 straight days of rain/snow/wind and hail.

But for now, the best positive I can offer is that Jeremy Reed went 2 for 4 for Team USA in their second exhibition game yesterday. He's playing left field.

Grady Sizemore, Cleveland's next stud outfielder, is playing center. And he went 4 for 4.

And drag it out? Not me. Bronx Bombers in 4.

not to drag it out

simply rain it out forever.

postpone it.

cancel it.

I can watch nearly any baseball.

I won't be able to force myself to watch Cubs-Yankees.

Just can't do it.

I'll say it again - just ignore it.

Don't watch.

Impose a media blackout.

It's GREAT.

When my Cub Cult friends try to engage in CubTalk, I just hit them with the fact that I've only watched about 6 innings TOTAL of their playoff run and they don't know what to say.

I tell them "My team's season is over and I don't care about yours".

There IS no reply for that.

My boss said, "You're missing out on history". I told him that if you don't care about it, you don't miss it. :D

The other comment that kills conversations - "That must be very exciting for you".

I went grocery shopping and watched Comedy Central ( the Man Show is WAY meaner and dumber with the new hosts, by the way ). I didn't even hear the final score of the game until morning. It's beautiful.

I would think that sCrub fans would want to lose in the WS - if they win, they'll have to take down that "Tribute To Failure" sign across the street from Chewing Gum Park.

What a comment. I tried to not watch, I just couldn't. I usually lose interest in the game when the Cubs are winning.

This could be good for us.

It renews interest in baseball. Period.

If the Sox PR department had a clue, the 2004 slogan oughta be.

"This year, its our turn."

That's the whole problem. This organization doesn't have a clue.

Bite the bullet and pull for the Yanks. You've no idea the grief that will come our way if the Cubs win the WS. Bad enough they make it.

That would be an extremely bitter bullet to bit to watch Georgie Porgie preen around with another trophy, thinking he's smarter than everybody else when he's out there scooping up Matsui, Giambi, Mussina, Boone, Clemens and all the rest from other organizations.

My best option will be to refuse to watch.

Just to let you know....you are not the only one who feels this EXACT same way. In fact, I'm sure that about 75% of the people on this board feel that way.

A Yankees-Cubs World Series would be worse then a Packers-Jets Superbowl.

let's hope it doesn't come down to that.

and, then, once it's over, we can find out who the new manager is and how KW is going to re-make the club.

these days it's been damn tough to find any White sox news

only 144 days until the first spring training game!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any chance of a last minute strike or lock out that would cancel the Series?

Well, one positive side of it all for me is that as of Thursday night, I will have my "no TV" nights back. I never watch TV aside from Baseball, I usually just watch movies I have on DVD. So, as of Thursday, when the Red Sox have fallen down, and the other team has clinched it, I will be able to stop watching Baseball, as for the first time in God only knows how many years, I really won't give two s***s about an event called "The World Series".

On a positive note, I am going to a beer tasting event in Palatine at Durty Nellies this weekend, so I will be loaded on nice beer, so when I miss the game that night, I really won't care. :cheers :lolhitting :cheers :fthecubs :drink
