FS: Neal Cotts - The Making of a Major League Pitcher

"Robbie Alomar was playing second base, and Sandy was catching me. After I got out of the first inning, Sandy was like, ‘Neal, come over here.’ Robbie went through the whole thing. He figured out that I was tipping pitches. He told me I was doing it every single time. He said I was doing it the last time I faced them too."

An excerpt from our Ken Sawilchik's interview with former Sox lefty Neal Cotts. Read his piece in full HERE.

Honestly I liked that article a lot more than the sorta rote minor prospect analysis posted previously.   More of this stuff would be cool.  I always thought Sandy was a very good influence on those teams and glad to have it confirmed.  He was a true pro.

Weird he's never gotten a managerial job

Same kind of help our young staff will get from Grandal//McCann combo.  Catcher is a really great place to be loaded.

Articles like these show why the Grandal pick was great. Keeping McCann too.

Here's to hoping they can help ReyLo, Kopech, Cease, etc. This year.

I hope Grandal figures out Lopez like McCann did giolito. Lopez has a world of talent and Damn good stuff
