2005 World Series game replay

Featured Replies

It looks like MLB Network is airing game 2 of the 2005 World Series tonight.  I'm not sure if there are any blackout restrictions with these replays.

Watching it right now. I had forgotten how bad the baserunning was in the bottom half of the 5th inning. First Uribe gets caught between 2nd and 3rd in a dumb (yet somewhat unlucky) rundown off a ground ball hit to Pettitte, then Iguchi picked off. Yikes.

Watching the Konerko grand slam and Podsednik walk-off never gets old though. Goosebumps every time. Watching all of the interviews of the players they had arranged for the post-game show of this airing had me tearing up. Man I hope our new core can win one someday.

The extensions loom even larger now that this could be a lost season. A  lost year of developing and learning isn't good for a team dependent on youth. But then again it's not good at all for anyone.
