The announcer called the hit a 1 hop line drive but it was actually 2 hops and if Harper charges it instead of standing there waiting for the height of the 2nd hop maybe he has a shot at nailing Turner at the plate. Just one of those small things that won't show up in jump or range or burst or any fielding metric I can think of but makes a difference in evaluating OF defense.

That is a nice slide. I’m always surprised at how poorly so many MLB players slide. So many potential ankle, hand and shoulder injuries from how bad they slide.
