September 27, 20214 yr Trading him for an insane haul would be the best thing they could do. They need so much pitching and prospect depth, plus it will be nearly impossible to pay enough pitching with the contracts they have already on offense. That said, I doubt they have the guts to do it.

Angels have had large payrolls before, Arte Moreno will shell out the dough Yeah...I guess I get that they can pay Ohtani and Trout at the same time...but what does that leave for the rest of the roster? 2 stars are great to have...but if it extends their losing season streak from 6 to 10 or more...is it worth it? Ohtani is a unique talent for sure...I would love to see the Angels trade him this winter just to see what they could get back? Or...sign him long-term because his contract will be unlike any before due to the pitching and hitting aspect to his play.
