Yep, that's one roster spot.  Will be interesting to see if they try to resign him for down the road.

He's one year away from free agency and would accumulate service time if under contract while rehabbing so there's no way they tender him.

If they did anything it would be a nontender with a MiLB deal like they did with Ryan Burr

Possible they'd agree on a 2 year deal, might be a good option for both Marshall and the Sox
