No mention about his creating that very lack of financial flexibility he cites by carrying Kimbrel, who’s now 7/7 in SVO.

Nothing on Josh Harrison or the difficulty of finding an everyday 2B.

Nothing on the defense by Vaughn, Pollock, Grandal, Sheets…not to mention Abreu/Anderson.

At least he didn’t reargue that Eloy Jimenez isn’t injury prone based on information common fans don’t have access to.

Guess this interview was done before he could take a victory lap on Cueto.

I know, I know.  He has no choice.  He can’t be Ranger Rongey and still keep his job, etc.

But if the actual goal was to distract by making me dislike Merkin more than Hahn and LaRussa, mission accomplished.

I for one am shocked that White Sox employee Scott Merkin is writing something positive about the White Sox.

I am shocked people take these articles seriously enough to get upset about them.

Just try to be somewhat objective.

John Rooney did it extremely well.

DJ and Farmer were/are mostly fair.

Dave Wills also a great knack for finding the proper balance.
