Where does the minor league system rate after the deadline?

I know plenty here have a decent grasp on our system. How much do you think it improved? It felt like the consensus was we had one of the worst systems (25-30). Where are we at now in your opinion?

The fangraphs board has a farm System ranking based on dollar value.

I think it is based on this chart here

It has the sox 13th currently. That is not great but a big improvement considering they were like bottom 5 at the start of the year.

Hard to feel good about it when Baltimore ranked #8 and Dodgers ranked #6. At least to me…

Have any offers for Cease been reported?

Only thing I heard was the Sox started with #1 overall player Jackson Holliday as the ask. Also heard Hahn wanted no less than at least two Top 5 players included.

Not sure if Hahn ever came off Holliday… since to me there was definite acceptable trades with the O’s without Holliday.

Yeah, I know very little about other teams systems.

The good is now we have quite a few major league plausible pitchers in AA and, prior to the season, we knew Mena would be there who still has quite a bit of physical and pitching development left.

Sean Burke disappeared and has barely played, but he has enough talent to maybe make it by 2025.

The bad is I feel like Kory Lee is gonna be like a Casey Gillaspie trade, where we were like "He's ranked fourth! Recent first rounder!" and realize the souring on him is for real. BA sending him to 29 in a midseason update is like...insane. That system sucks and they were like "this guy is so bad I'll take 29 guys over him". Hahn though is a sucker for ranking sites to judge trades.

While people say we can't develop guys with command issues...I would say Katz has actually gotten more out of them than I'd expect. Cease being the best example. If you have a bad defense, probably just want to reduce hits and induce Ks. But, problem is when the hits come, there are guys on base.

Anyway, god are we really going to keep this front office. God.

But at least please wipe away this pitching development group.
