Wouldn't Colon be a 1 and Mark a 2?

Featured Replies

While it would be great to have problems like this, isn't Colon our 1 starter if we get him, And wouldn't Kenny be getting some revenge on Mark by relegating him to the #2 spot (as well as holding down his salary).

I would leave Mark as the number 1, Colon does have more expierience but I think Mark is the better pitcher. However I wouldn't put it past kw to order manuel drop mark to #2 he seems to enjoy doing petty things like that in order to try and maintain his control.

you have a point there.. revenge is kw's favorite thing... look at what he did to guys like lowe, and parque when they opened up their mouths......i would imagine if in fact we did land colon here kw would ship mark down to aa just for spite..........its typical of him.........

I don't care, they are both aces in my book. Whose #1 and 2 depends soley on the order, not on the talent. Look at Johnson and Schilling...I don't think they care who is classified as the ace, they are both aces.

This would be an unbelievable pickup and I sure hope the sox can do it.

I think that if Kenny gets a deal for Colon, he deserves some credit from his critics for giving the team two established pitchers. I'm not calling for Kenny's head just yet, the team hasn't had a losing record in his two years (of course, they haven't been in the race for the division either), and there are other teams who are in much worse situations than the Sox (Detroit, KC, Baltimore...) Course Kenny may not get Colon, and if that happens, well he better be prepared for anything this season...they could pull off a 2000 95-win season, or meander in AverageLand the whole year.

It's a good thing February has only 28 days...that much closer to spring training!

it all depends on who we have to give up to get him.
