Mets rants

Recommended Posts

Just go to the NY Post/Daily News this week...

Cohen quickly apologized for the Mets' season at least.

In his own words, unlike JR last year after the 41-121 record had to be addressed to get the media storm to go away.

Hiring Stearns has been an unabashed failure. Eppler was clearly better at the job. I wonder if it's a coincidence that the Brewers took a step forward after Stearns left and they hired Eppler as a 'special advisor'.

Also, feel like it's simply karma that the criminal racketeer/inside trading owner isn't being rewarded for his ill begotten gains. Yes, none of these owners earned their money ethically, but this guy has got to be the biggest sleezeball in MLB.

Do you understand how silly you look trying to say Eppler or Getz are better than Stearns?

I read that three times and didn't see Getz mentioned. Am I missing something, or does your brain automatically insert Getz into every sentence, now?

Well....scouting/signing Mike Trout in the late first round and from the Yankees/Mets' backyard probably trumps anything Getz has done so far.

Unless Getz has brought a HoFer onboard we don't know about.

what seems to missing is it was fan appreciation day.  Don't they do these things despite they beat the Mets.

Going from 100 losses to almost 500 should be a celebration? That's quite an improvement with a 2nd year GM
