MLB.TV vs ?

Featured Replies

Now that ESPN has taken over MLB.TV, I am not certain how to proceed in order to get WSox games unless I subscribe to CSHN... I have T Mobile but I am not sure how a VPN could get around that when the area code of your phone obviously reveals your appx location.

It works.  This is exactly how I do it.  Free MLB.tv through T-Mobile along with my paid VPN app (Windscribe) installed on my streaming devices.  I set the VPN app to a location outside of Chicago, or whatever the blackout area is.  This tricks the MLB.tv app regarding my location and allows me to watch local Chicago games.

My NordVPN is causing problems today...MLB.tv app won't let me view any of the spring training games when my VPN is on.  I had it set to Seattle for awhile...nothing would show up...neither on my phone or TV.  UGH...hope it is just a spring training thing...

Not sure, as I don’t get free MLB.tv through T-Mobile until late March.  I would just keep trying different locations, even outside the US.  Kill the MLB.tv app and open it after changing VPN locations.

I don't get the free package either...I pay for it...I did reinstall the MLB app...didn't think about outside the US...I don't need it yet because they don't protect spring training games I don't think...I don't have the Marquee Network but I am pulling the game in thru the MLB app without VPN so at the moment...I am good.  I do appreciate you taking the time to suggest a few things!  Nice of you!  Thanks!

I assume my free T-Mobile MLB.tv subscription from last year should be dead, but I just wanted to try it out anyways.  I opened up MLB.tv and I am able to watch the Marquee Network feed without any issues.  The free T-Mobile MLB.tv subscription deal for 2026 isn’t available until late next month so I’m not sure why my MLB.tv subscription from last year is still working.  I’m not even using VPN and I’m in Chicago.  Not sure if this is just a free ST game or what…
