Sorry I missed yesterday. McDougal on the hill today facing off with Rays #3 prospect

McDougal done after 4 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 4 BB, 8 K. Also bounced a curveball that grazed a guy for a HBP.

The first hit was a soft bloop single into CF in the third. Mesa Jr. worked an impressive 10 pitch walk that seemed to tire McDougal a bit. Single, WP, and a walk after that.

3 pitch K (all heat) and a routine fly ended the inning. Came back out for a 2K 4th.

FB averaged 98 and touched 100 but was a bit wild. Slider looked good (80% whiff rate) but he only threw a handful.

Knights down 1-0, Plymell should be on for the 5th.

Antonacci ties it on another HR, 1-1

Bergolla with a single and SB to follow

Knights had been hitless through 3

Hopkins is Pipeline #83. Had only allowed 10 career HRs over 231 pro innings, but obviously Charlotte is a different beast.

Only 1 whiff on 10 swings for Bergolla, but it resulted in a K so he is mortal.

On the other hand, he still has been on base in 7 out of 9 ABs (including a walkoff RBI single tonight), so maybe he isn't.

3-4 with a BB tonight. Sam went 1-4 with the HR and a BB. Their 4 hits combine for the Knights' total.

Pen was great especially in extras to secure the 2-1 win.

Thanks for all you do AD. Without you in this thread I wouldnt know whats going on with the Knights. Love the starts of our big 3 SP's and Antonacci and Bergolla aka Ant-Man & the Wasp ?
