I first noticed earlier in the season that the home Friday night game has become a thing. If the Sox do spend money in free agency Casey Mize will be out there.

I’m as big a critic of the way this team operates as anyone. But I believe that the Sox are going to spend some money on this team if the talent arrives, endures. But they’re ahead of their schedule right now. It is what it is.

Upcoming class of free agent SPs isn't that hot to me. In hindsight, wish we would've spent on one of the guys who was available, specifically Ranger. Jazz or Varsho are semi-appealing in this next class.

60-75% odds they need a 2026 CFer.

Chisholm will cost more and might not want to change positions again.

Both having disappointing seasons overall.

Hate paying for past production when players close in on the wrong side of that aging curve.

But might not have a choice.

Jazz will be the youngest notable FA position player in that class. Which is saying something. Thought he was pretty solid in center and I like the defensive versatility. But yeah, not an ideal candidate. Wouldn't want to give multiple years. Morejon, Mize, Bubic, Rogers seem like guys to target. Dunno whatever happened to Bruce Graterol but he's apparently an upcoming UFA too.
