Ok, but when I played this in bars we put the WHAMMY on that mouse wheel. Can that podium withstand the WHAMMY?

Yes, I do the same thing on drives and long second shots. The podium is super durable and took me a while to put together. It’s held together with numerous cam screws and cam locks. The actual Golden Tee system is just the deck part of it and it drops right into the podium snugly. Basically it doesn’t move when I put the WHAMMY on it, the podium or the deck.

This is my “kids are leaving for college” midlife crisis purchase and hobby. 🤣

Is it an actual resold cabinet unit, or a snazzy emulator

It’s the legit newest portable model from Interactive Technologies — Golden Tee GO PGA TOUR. I bought it new and sealed in box on Facebook Marketplace.

All the previous non-PGA TOUR models/arcades can no longer get software updates. This will get an update with new courses, etc. in October. You need a subscription to play online, track your stats, and get the updates. It is like $120 per year but you can just pay like $13 bucks for a single month in October and get the online update for 2027.

I also thought about building my own PC emulator for Golden Tee but I was too lazy. However, TeknoParrot recently released emulated versions of Golden Tee up to 2019, so it’s very doable…

Previously, the best and latest version of Golden Tee available via ROM emulation was 2006.

I just know a lot of old cabinets for many games are for sale on eBay and fb marketplace and such. No shame either way just wondered what you were working with, I know sometimes the old cabinets have to have the motherboards replaced

Exactly, and it can get quite pricey and tough to find the parts these days. I was into the physical arcades cabinets for a bit but I quickly realized how much space they take up. Cool to have a little arcade gaming room though with physical cabinets.

We bought the Disney timeshare program (Disney Vacation Club) about 4 years ago. We have stayed at Riviera at WDW, and the Aluani resort in Hawaii so far. If you travel to Disney on a regular basis, it is a great deal and gets you ahead of everyone else for reservations. Man was it expensive though.
