December 5, 200322 yr How about we try to deal Koch to Boston for Byung-Hyun Kim? I know he was not popular at the end of the season. Wasn't he left off the roster for the playoffs? Didn't he flip off the Boston fans. I do not know the details of his contract so he might make more than Koch. This may be a stupid idea but Kim might be able to be our 5th starter or he could regain confidence and be a set-up guy. I would consider it if he made less than Koch. Kim's salary was 3.25 mil in 2003 and he is in some legal trouble in Korea for camera man assult. Would you rather have Kim AND Sullivan or Koch Well? Just a thought

Then again, not a fan of Koch either. I DO like Sullivan. Wow, I added a lot to the discussion, huh??
December 5, 200322 yr WTF are yuou talking about, Koch for Kim! Why stop there? Why not Koch for Pedro and Nomar, with Boston picking up the tab? My god, 103 screwball! My God.
December 5, 200322 yr Author Wow I didn't think it was that far fetched of a deal. I can take the criticism but please give some detail why it could not happen. Kim may be an outcast in Boston like Koch is here. Bring it

December 5, 200322 yr Author Suck it. Well so much for some baseball discussion. I could actually argue why neither team would want either player.

December 5, 200322 yr No way for Kim... HOWEVER... Boston is DESPERATELY searching for a way to ship Nomah outta here so they can do the whole Manny/A-Rod trade thing. From what the sports radio stations are saying, BoSox management is very keen on the idea of getting A-Rod and they're willing to swallow some of Manny's contract and aren't expecting much in return for Nomah since he only has one year left in his contract. This could kill two birds with one stone - Boston gets their (dubious) closer and we solve our SS problem and move Valentin to 2nd or ship him off. I'd certainly do a Koch/Nomah trade with Boston picking up some of Nomah's pay. We'd only have him for a year, but I'd take it if it would get Koch outta Chicago...
