My employer gave me two t-bones yesterday and after I ate them he called to say the meat was bad and not to eat them - too late! I was very glad about the Buehrle signing - what I knew all along, and posted, if he was given a fair offer he would gladly sign with us, he wants to stay with us rather than go elsewhere - it would appear that JR did not f*** up this agreement as he did the one earlier this year.

Will we be OK with Harris? Don't know, but we need to find out. I don't think Valentin will be with us by ST, so that $5Mill is a moot point. And Robbie Alomar didn't show me much when he was here. Sure he solidified the defense, but he's fairly well progressed on his downhill slide. I can only forsee him getting less useful.

With Kaz Matsui picked up by the Mets, we're all hopin that will happen. I think sumthin will get done concernin him and Konerko at New Orleans.

8 hour differecne to where I am at - in Michigan, and I suspect same as for YASNY - 7 hours though you are right to Chicago -

Yes, he can hit home runs (usually he gets them in spurts and then doesn't hit one for a month), and he can drive in runs (with those spurting home runs), but other than that, what is his value? I can't believe it's much at this point.

Jason has talked of many scenarios involving LA and the Sox. I think he's right on track. Maybe PK and Jose .... for Perez and Mota and/or Itzirus (sp?). Off course, we may throw in some prospects to get all 3 guys.

Izturis hits a lot of balls that would go off the wall or over it in any stadium except Dodger Stadium or Pro Player Stadium. I would LOVE to get him.

I am not familiar with the guy, other than what I've seen posted here. He sounds like a good prospect based on that.

Yeah I've been wonderin where every1's locations went. I know Jason said he was gonna bring them back up though I think.

GLOD? No, that's Paul Konerko, and it's spelled CLOD.

 

You're thinking about Ross Gload, who in about 12 minor-league seasons, has never caught on in the majors. He's basically "Shane Spencer" or "Kevin Maas" minus the power. The guy will never amount to much, trust me on this. He tears up minor-league and winter-league pitching, but he's nothing special.

 

In other words, he's on our 25-man roster next year.

Unfortuantely now I think KW won't want him because we've already got a guy like him in Juan Uribe. I hope Aaron Miles' numbers don't skyrocket at Coors either.
