Mariners-Mets deal

Featured Replies

ESPNnews reported that the Mets are close to sending Roger Cedeno to the M's for Jeff Cerillo.

They also said that Ichiro's agent is asking for 15 mil a season while the M's are only offering 8-10 mil per season.

Right.

I just brought it up because there was talk about the Koch to Mets deal.

changes in the M's outfield...

wynn...you can come our way now

The mets have some sort of odd obsession with aging players, and players coming off of injuries.

It is impossible to rebuild in NY, there is just too much pressure to bring in proven players, even if they are 4 years off of their prime.

Maybe Ichiro will replace Mags :)

Thats exactly what this deal means. Well that or Guillen, but if they move Guillen then it means Spiezo is playing 3rd.

Isn't there a huge difference in the salaries though?
