Wong & Owens
So, assuming the Nomar deal doesn't go through, you have an unhappy Nomar in Boston, an unhappy Manny in Boston, and an unhappy Maggs in Chicago. What if the Red Sox sent Nomar and Manny to the Dodgers, the Dodgers send Mota, Perez, Miller and Izturis to the White Sox, and the White Sox send Maggs and Jose to the Red Sox? Thoughts? Good idea? Dumb idea? Too much to handle for L.A.?

What if the Red Sox sent Nomar and Williamson to the Dodgers, the Dodgers send Williamson, Perez, Miller and Izturis to the White Sox, and the White Sox send Maggs and Jose to the Red Sox? Thoughts? Good idea? Dumb idea? Nomar isn't goign to go anywhere, unless boston gets Arod.... Maggs however could be in LA tomorrow regarless of Arod deal. MurcieOne
A complete fuggin joke if this doesnt go down... I mean you have a deuchebag like Kevin Millar talking about how he wants A-Rod instead of Nomar on ESPN... You have Maggs being worn out more than a 5 cent rubber with all these rumors. You have A-rod gushing over how much of a honor it would be to play in Beantown... I mean your gonna have some interesting clubhouses when these guys realize that their staying put. BrandoFan
You have Maggs being worn out more than a 5 cent rubber with all these rumors Poor Magglio.....an anxiety tear rolls down his cheek as he stares out of his exclusive Aleutian Islands resort condo, wearily waving to Jack Nicholson jogging by the cliffs below, then struggles to lick grade-A caviar off his wife's even hotter friend's enormous tits. Heartbreaking ordeal this whole thing is.

WSFAN35
Dos Maggs even like it here, tho? If he's not willing to stay for 8 figures, I really don't think he does.

Soxbadger
How was he even being mistreated? Its not like we were sending him to Detroit or Tampa Bay, he was going to Boston for an All-Star, to play with one of the best teams in the league. Sure he might leave some friends behind, but in the last year of your contract when you said you wanted to test free agency, would it not be nice to go and play in a World Series, I mean if Boston won the WS with Maggs, and Maggs puts up stunning numbers, which he might in Fenway, he improved his value and got to play in meaningful games. I doubt Maggs has any hard feelings about this, I mean we have shopped Konerko to the point of exhuastion, same with Valentin, yet we will still expect both of them to play next year. Maggs knows this is what the business is like, its not as if we were trying to replace Maggs, we just were going in a different direction. Now Nomar, they Red Sox actually were trying to get a player as an upgrade to him, that will probably sting. SB

Forgive my lack of green, but I thought it was obvious within the context it was used.
DBAHO
I'd doubt Boston would go for that. If they're not gettin A-Rod, they still want the 2nd best SS in da league.
