Am I the only one happy?

Featured Replies

I was coming home from school listening to ESPN 1000 and they were talking as if the trade had fell through. Then they had a Sportscenter update and said the deadline was approaching and I was thrilled because Maggs is by far my favorite player and Garciapara wouldn't have been here for any longer than a season, and even if Maggs would only be here for one more year, he's better than Garciapara in my mind. Am I the only one who feels this way?

By no means would I ever accept a trade that involves Maggs. When I first heard of this trade, I was :fyou and about to throw the paper I was reading out of the window. But now, I am all :D 's. Thw White Sox will always be the best team in Chicago :fthecubs .

The best fourth place team in Chicago at this rate.

I too am happy Maggs is still here, but that happiness will change if Maggs Does end up leaving at the end of next year. I understand Maggs wants to test FA, but I really wish he would just stay here and could work something out with us. I would be happy with Maggs and a contract extension or Nomar and a contract extension, but if we end up with one year of Maggs then lose him for nothing, we will be in more trouble than we already are.

I'd rather keep Maggs and Cotts because you have a much better shot at keeping Maggs long term. I like Maggs, if they were willing to add Nomar and spend money on pitching fine, but that didn't appear to be the case.

If you can't get two stud prospects for Maggs, then keep him, imo. Nomar is a bit over-rated and if he isn't going to sign, then screw it. I'd love Nomar here for long term, but I don't think its gonna happen nor do I think the Sox will compete if they are paying him 15 mil a year long term, unless they plan on really upping payroll.

Thank you Mr Selig for saving KW from himself!!! :notworthy

Trading Maggs for anything but top tier locked in starting pitching is stupid.

I personally see nothing great about this trade for us.
