December 20, 200322 yr I love the way Redman pitches. I wanted him last off season, we could've gotten him fairly easily.
December 20, 200322 yr I was hoping the sox would trade for him before they trade him to the Marlins last year. KW should sign him and at least we dont have to trade with Beane again.
December 20, 200322 yr Redman is definately a solid #4 guy, something we currently desperately need. The only thing that scares me about him is his performance in the playoffs. Then again, for that to matter we'd have to GET to the playoffs!!
December 20, 200322 yr Author I think if we go the non-tendered way for pitchers I would be happy with a rotation of: Loiaza ($5 million) Buerhle($4.5 million) Redman($3 million) Garcia($6 million) Garland($2.3 million) Solid rotation for not a lot of money, only about $20 million
December 20, 200322 yr A lot of good startin pitchers r still available, and Redman is one of them. He was Florida's most consistent starter throughout the season, he just didn't hav a good playoffs. But I wouldn't mind pickin him up at all, I still want Livan Hernandez though.
December 21, 200322 yr So strange that the A's would non-tender him after trading Mike Neu for him. Looks like Billy Beane finally loses out on a deal...
December 21, 200322 yr I would prefer Armas, Johnson, or Moss over Garcia. Garcia has lights-out stuff, but he may be too big a risk.
