January 21, 200323 yr Author He was non tendered, meaning the Blue Jays dont get s*** and can't talk with him until May 1st. great that is why i recanted on what i wrote, but that doesn't mean we can't go out and get him. a battle of rowand and cruz for the starting job will look great. this past winter showed that maybe joey B needs another yr in the minors. but imagine if cruz comes on and develops, that will make c lee tradeable.

January 21, 200323 yr I would love to see the Sox sign Cruz. Our options in center after Rowalnd and Brochard are slim. If Rowland doesn't totally recover from his accident and Brochard can't hit Major League pitching.......It would be nice to have Cruz as an option.
January 21, 200323 yr if we sign jose cruz id rather he become carlos "the lawn ornament in left field" lee's replacement...play the better defensive player between jose and rowand/borchard in CF and the other in LF...trade carlos off for help in another area..starting pitcher perhaps
