Colon Press Conference

Featured Replies

He does look a little smaller, plus he still has time to slim down before the season opener.

Why is his name written on the backround along with the Sox logo?

Billy Koch didn't have his name written on the background!! :D

An important part is that Colon says he feels "Alot lighter than last year"

KW: "He looks good to me."

Goddamn..... that looks good. I wonder where all these press reports about Colon getting big came from. Good to see Colon wearing the black and silver instead of that s***ty Indian red and navy blue.

It's kind of hard to tell from that pic but he doesn't look any bigger than last year, that should be a good sign.

With the money he gets and the time in the offseason,he plays in America why can't he take the time to learn the language would it hurt.It also would be easy to communicate with his teammates.Just my opinion.

I am not too keen about the part of the article that suggests that Colon might be our opening day pitcher. As far as I am concerned, it is Buehrle's team, and that it should remain such. MB is our #1 and that should be made clear.

He has Jose Valentin and Sandy Alomar, Jr., to interpet for him.

Check out www.dictionary.com. Then on Kids Day we can talk to him in Spanish, may take off pressure for him. BTW, is there not a kids day this year in April, was I misinformed?

Watch it now..... there are some on this board who will automatically categorize you as an ultra-conservative, hick-redneck-s***kickin', racist buffoon for making such common sense ideas public. Don't say no one ever warned you. ;)

WTF does he need to learn english for? He'd making 8 mil!!! He can afford to speak whatever language he wants.

I just watched the the news brief on Colon's press conference and he seems happy to be a White Sox. He said he never hated the Sox while he was in Cleveland but he hated when the SOX hit him so hard when pitching against us.

I dont know about the weight issue but he looks good and he has no problem with his own weight. Also when he puts on the Sox uni with all smiles, he jokingly put signs that he wanted a baseball cap bcoz nobody gave him one yet and everybody laughs. I wish he has a good time with us bcoz he seems willing to stay here. I like his attitude and that should help the whole team a lot.

Yeah, i heard he'd be willing to discuss a multi-year deal once the season starts. It wont happpen, but then again how many team will be looking for a high priced pitcher next season?

I think Colon is going to be great. He seems to have a great attitude and his weight is also down. I hope he does great and then Kenny and him agree on a longterm extension. I wouldnt be surprised at all to see him here in 2004, from what Ive read he seems to like it. I also hope Kenny signs Buehrle. Then we would be complete...

As far as his weight goes, I think the whole idea of him adding weight was a rumor started by the Yankees.

andre.. bartolo... hmmm pretty hard to f*** that one up.. not like its berry or barry.............but looks wise i can see where you may be confused......lol.....wouldnt that take the cake if the expos and seattle pulled a fast one on kw and sent the wrong guy.......
