Lemieux out for rest of season (career?)

Featured Replies

Not that this should be any surprise to you folks who follow hockey but Mario Lemieux is out for the rest of the year after deciding to have surgery on his injured hip.

So does this mean the end of yet another awesome career (with the pending lockout situation?)

I've seen him play a few times, what a player, and his hands (stick handling with a rifle shot) are among the best I've ever seen around the net.

:o no wait that isn't it

 yeah that's it.

The guy should have stayed retired the first time... just like Michael and Magic should have stayed out.

Agreed. It's so sad to see big time stars like that waste away trying to play when its obvious they should hang it up.

And does any1 still want to trade for him in our Fantasy League?

I heard that he said he's definitely going to play again.

I think he should try again if he wants to - I am NOT one of these "retire before you fade" people - my opinion is, once you're done you're done, so make sure you're done.
