January 17, 200422 yr But Cotts, Rowand, Borchard and Reed are all AAAA players. Substitute Reed and Rowand put Willie and Wright/Rauch there Then your set
January 17, 200422 yr And that's why I can't figure out what all this garbage talk is on possible trades and Neal Cotts, Joe Borchard, et al, our most promising rookies being included in trade talk. The trades are all exretremely suspect anyway and just seem to be a way for some malcontent poster or troll to get us all in a dander. People have various opinions on the value of our prospects. Since we can't afford to pay veterans, I'm more inclined to develope and play our young guys than I am to trade them off.
January 17, 200422 yr i can imagine it now. the "f*** Jeremy Reed" thread. who started the cotts one? Just because no one else answered yet, it was Jordan4life_2003 who started that assinine thread.
January 18, 200422 yr I think he will start and give the White Sox what they need...A true leadoff hitter. Amen. That's what I believe too.
January 19, 200422 yr This is prob old news, but I didn't hear this bf bout Reed. Hope it ain't nothin too serious, Proceed with caution: Jeremy Reed, the White Sox's top prospect, has been wearing a splint on a wrist he injured playing for Team USA in the Olympic qualifying tournament. Playing left field on a team that had Cleveland prospect Grady Sizemore in center, Reed hurt himself leaping against an outfield wall. The Sox had him checked out by a wrist specialist and say he should be fine in time for spring training. Reed isn't on the 40-man roster but is expected to be among the non-roster players invited to camp and could challenge Aaron Rowand for the job in center field. Reed, a left-handed hitter, batted .373 overall in 2003, including .409 in 66 games at Double-A Birmingham.
