January 19, 200422 yr :fthecubs I think if a deal is going to happen they will wait till the friday of soxfest to announce it like they did with Kenny Lofton two years ago. hopefully something goes down quickly because I think the entire budget right now is tied up in nine players so something has got to give. Welcome aboard chisoxfan79 I hope your right, but we've heard that alot of deals COULD go down, but they don't or someone backed off. It depends on how the situation is as far as negotiations go, and certain deals can take a while depending on the player/prospect given up etc..
January 19, 200422 yr Oh thats good I might have to steal that line I just hope we get that 5th pitcher by sox fest If Scott can step up we'll be OKAY for the 4th spot in the rotation. I think we'll be alrite in that 5th slot too, just as long as Danny Wright isn't named the starter for the fifth spot. Wright's stuff is meant to be used in the pen, not as a starter. I'd give the spot to either: Person, Diaz, Rauch, Campos or Grilli. I don't know if anyone has brought him up, but what about Tetsu Yofu? Rex is there any chance he's got a shot at making that number 5 spot? CWSOX45
