Interesting Joe Crede Stat

I guess he pitched 6 games in high school or around that time. Not that's it'd be too big of a deal today, but here is the snippet:

"...also posted a 6-0 career record with a 1.84 ERA (9 ER/44.0 IP) and 75 strikeouts as a pitcher..."

Haha, Well, if we cant find a 5th starter, Crede will be our man i guess. Whats up with your name being Mr. Zero already.... lol, should i chance mine to Person23? :)

Half the guys in baseball were pitchers in HS. They were generally the best athletes in HS, therefore they pitched as well.

Hell, Don Mattingly was 11-0 as a pitcher in senior year in HS.

I would have been shocked if he wasn't a pitcher in HS.

Heck lots of them pitch through college. Go back and look at John Olerud's pitching stats in college. There was a decent debate of whether he would be a better hitter or pitcher at the big league level.

 How'd that debate turn out?

Wow! you didn't know that? I thought alot of people did. Yea he was a good pitcher and good hitter in HS. He was converted into a hitter though. I could still he him throwing some no hitters right now!

I wonder if Frank ever pitched with that rocket of an arm...

I'm not surprised at all. The best hitter is always the pitcher in my leagues because it is always the most developed kid or just a gifted ball player.

Hell I was the worst high school pitcher of all time and the greatest hitter

Which is why you are a pitcher(and a pretty good pitcher at that) in a MLB organization.

This all makes sense now! :D
