with all this hoop-la... about a-rod... i got to thinking about his contract and his mvp status of last year.... in comparison to F.T......

check it out:

a-rod: G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG

YTD 161 607 124 181 30 6 47 118 364 87 126 17 3 .396 .600 .298

frank: G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG

YTD 153 546 87 146 35 0 42 105 307 100 115 0 0 .390 .562 .267

when you look at franks numbers, they arent THAT much lower then a-rods....

i know that a-rod is a defensive gem, and frank is a dh.... that says something for a-rod.... but last year frank did say a lot... and i feel that some are not giving him the respect that he should have for the numbers he put up

hope that this comparison helps you frank haters....

another little note that might bring more hope for frank in 04: "ranked among the AL leaders after the break in home runs (2nd, 22), RBI (T3rd, 57) and slugging percentage (4th, .584)"

PEACE

ummm, okay...

The MVP thing last year was kind of odd... ARod had a down year last year... He put up much bigger numbers the two previous years, and didn't win the award. Frank also had monster numbers and didn't win in 2000...

Winning the MVP last year was a combination of the previous years, and the lack of "likeability" of manny. Who had a better year, but wasn't even well liked in his own clubhouse, let alone with the voters.

ummm, okay...
